Without the magnificent fundraising by the Beer Festival, the school would simply be a much less stimulating environment for the children.
Over £290,000 of funds donated for good causes!
Charlbury Beer Festival was set up in 1998 to raise money for Charlbury Primary School. As we grew, year on year, we began to fund other good causes in the community as well.
In 2009 we set up Charlbury & Overseas Community Projects Ltd, a registered charity, allocating a proportion of our funds each year to a handpicked organisation helping children in the developing world.
From small beginnings, we now raise £20,000 a year to distribute to good causes. We are especially pleased to support good causes relating to youth activities in the town. Please note that we cannot fund projects retrospectively.
Following a successful CBF 2024, we are currently welcoming grant applications until 31st October 2024. Please get your applications in as soon as possible. This gives our grants officer a chance to review your application in advance and offer suggestions to improve it.

Charlbury Primary School remains our major beneficiary, but over the years we have also supported many other local organisations, clubs and groups.
