Supporting Our Community

Over £290,000 raised and donated to good causes since 1998!

Our Story

Charlbury Beer Festival was founded in 1998 to raise funds for Charlbury Primary School. Over the years, as the event grew, we began to support a wider range of local community causes.

In 2009, we established Charlbury & Overseas Community Projects Ltd, a registered charity that allocates a portion of our annual proceeds to handpicked organisations helping children in the developing world.

Today, we raise around £20,000 each year for good causes, with a particular focus on youth activities in the town. Please note that we are unable to fund projects retrospectively.

What We Fund

  • Local charities and volunteer-led organisations
  • Youth groups and community clubs
  • Arts, culture, music, and performance projects
  • Environmental and sustainability projects
  • Events that promote community cohesion
  • Handpicked overseas children's charities
